Namaskaram🙏

A cloudless day with the soft radiance of the sun My sister and I were reclining under a lush green tree in our garden. We are both having a pleasant talk about the plans for Diwali. Di has a delightful temperamental nature. She enjoys celebrating festivals and enjoys dressing up and decorating her home.

I asked her a question: “This Diwali, what will you do to make it more marvelous than the previous year?” She said, “This time I will decorate the altar and the idol of Lord Lakshmi idol with my handcrafted material, flowers, and the decoration stuff, I will wear a blue dress that our dad bought from Jaipur Diwali. She now starts counting how much time is left for the divine day. She said to me, “You may please also wear a blue dress.” We love to do the same pinch, and then we can post our pictures on social media with the caption “We are genuine siblings.”

Now, only five days are left before Diwali. Di is all set to go with great and earnest enthusiasm and zeal. She spent a whole day on a sunny day buying all the decoration items for Diwali from the market. Her face looked so tired due to a rush day. She is doing her every task blissfully and with mindfulness. Her handcrafted decoration of the idol and the altar is top-notch.

Di made an elegant pink and white dress for Lakshmi Ji and decorated the altar with numerous flowers like roses, lotus, jasmine, sunflower, daisy, tulip, magnolia, lavender, balsam, and flax.

Her excitement level is tremendous.

She is greatly concerned about Diwali, when the time will come, and then she will worship Lakshmi Ji. She wasn’t able to sleep at night because of her excitement.

Not every morning is good sometimes they are melancholy also. On the day Diwali morning, her excitement had vanished, her face had turned dull, and she appeared to be in pain. Di is feeling low. When mom came into our room, she restricted Di from entering the puja room and cooking area when she tells her what she is suffering from. After Mom left the room, Di started crying. I’m shocked at what’s happened to her. Then she told me, “I’m suffering from a menstrual cycle.” After uttering this, she started crying on my lap. “What’s my fault in this bro.. how diligently I prepared for Diwali,” she said. I’m not anywhere in the world. My dreams and ambitions have vanished to celebrate Diwali. All that I had diligently decorated the dress of Lakshmi Ji and decorated the altar with flowers vanished bro. The tears in her eyes make me also feel sorrowful. Here, every word hits the bottom of my heart. But then I uttered to Di if this is a natural process, why do you have restrictions on entering the puja room and cooking area? She said with a low voice, “My bro, you are so innocent. The world is not what it seems.” There are many malpractices in the world, and this is one of them. When a girl is suffering from menstruation, they think the girl is impure and debased.

Then I think that in what world we are living in. On one hand, we are worshipping the feminine energy, and on the other hand, we are detesting the girl in the real world.

In reality, boys’ are said to be impure when they have lusty desires and sexual thoughts in them because only they are responsible for the manifestation of these thoughts. A boy is impure when he discharges the seed from the body because he’s dependent on the boys to discharge it due to some bad thoughts.

Menstruation is a natural process. we can’t stop it, but discharging the seed is not. It’s all due to lusty desires and sexual thoughts. We can easily stop it.

Now tell me what’s wrong with the menstrual cycle. Why is it said to be that girls are impure and boys are also impure?

We have to think from a different angle: we need to do something to remove the bad intention toward the girl that they are impure during her menstrual period.

From a spiritual perspective, in Kamakhya Devi temple, there are three days in a month which have the most energetic day in the whole month because it’s believed that on these three days, Devi is having menstruation. These days are great for some sadhana.

Let’s take a bow that we will remove this malpractice from our society.
