Just like Lord Hanumana brought the entire Sanjeevani Parvat for Sri Lakshmana, my brother, Neelanjan Dada, too sent me some finger licking snacks in order to rescue me from my hunger! Among many items, he had sent me some delicious, finger-licking biscuits and after I had finished them all, my little green dabba was left with the leftover crumbs which, I somehow, did not want to throw away. So, after so, many days of keeping it safe in my cupboard, today I decided to finally put the crumbs on my windowsill for some pigeon to eat.
After a while, I saw a bushy tail waving across the window. Peek-a-boo! A cute little squirrel was feasting there! I looked at it and thought that its no other than that the lovely Ram-bhakta! Many aeons ago, a squirrel did its bit with all faith and devotion for the construction of the Ram Setu, the bridge of love and dharma. With whatever strength it had in its little body, the squirrel would pick up the pebbles with ‘Ram’ name written on it and drop it for the construction of the lovely bridge of faith and culture which even today, is still visible from the space! Applauding the little squirrel’s sincere faith, the ever merciful Sri Ram picked it up with his own holy hands and blessed it! And today, I was musing on it right at the windowsill.
I shared this lovely incident with Abhishek, a spiritual brother of mine, and he told me about the Gilheraj Hanuman Mandir of Aligarh, the only temple where Lord Hanumana is worshipped in the form of a squirrel. No wonder the devotion that the puny little squirrel showed was Hanumanji himself! Its a leela of the Divine where Sri Hanumanji showed us that Prabhu Ram always accepts sincere devotion, be it from a small animal like a squirrel or the grand Hanumana himself! The Lord always accepts the sincere devotion with open arms. How lovely is He! How merciful is He!
Today, I am feeling fully blessed by the grace of Sri Ram and Sri Hanuman. My pranaam to my Gurudev and my Sri Maa for guiding me all throughout.
I will end my post with this lovely statement-
पार ना लगोगे श्री राम के बिना,
राम ना मिलेगे हनुमान के बिना।
Bolo Siyavar Ram-Chandra ki Jai!
