If you would have told me earlier that, “You would have words by your side and they would be your best friends!”
I would have never believed you. Instead, I would have told you at least 5 reasons why I think your statement is wrong. When I was young, I would spend time looking out my window, may it be any season. The window would always be my favourite part of the house. I still remember me just sitting there for hours and looking at something distant, no thoughts, no desires, no wishes; just a good old day.
Now, when I look back, I can tell you how birds fly, what exactly is the noise coming from when water hits a surface or how trees swing on the rhythm of the wind. I can say I have a superpower. This is all because I spent time watching around, enjoying my life and being grateful. Also, being friends with trees and surroundings.
This last year had been difficult for all. Even for me. But when everything was shut and people found it difficult to stay home, I found it easy for the first 4-5 months. You can call it fear, that did stop me from going out. But I don’t find it difficult to stay at home. There are so many things I could do at home.
And I did. If I have to name a few, I would say read new and interesting books, graphic designing; especially, trying vectors and sketches. Drawing and painting have been in my life for a long time now, but I explored a lot more and met new people through it this year. I wrote a lot and tried reaching out to people through my writings. And that is how I came across here through my relative. (thank you!)
What I want to say here is, when I look back at this year, I feel grateful. Grateful especially to words, drawings and painting.
Also, there is at least one thing in everyone’s life that has made us go through this year easily. And let us be grateful for it!
p.s- This is my first blog and I thought I should share this with everyone. Hope you like it.
