Just a closer look

I’ll take your saree by the edge

and cover my eyes

One peck on my cheeks

Haan, maa?

It’s been three days now

That I could get a closer look

Few moments of your undivided attention

So I can admire your beauty

With these teary-tired eyes

It’s so hard

to clearly see your features

To see if you are

laughing lovingly at me today

or just smiling widely
