Om namah shivay

I have been a solo traveller all through my life and love to travel alone. It gives me enough time not only enjoy the journey but also to enjoy bliss of solitude. I enjoy my company . On very rare occassion, i will prefer to travel with someone . In my recent visit to burdwan,  i tried my best to cover whatever was possible for a two day visit. Here, i am sharing some of the picture which i captured in my mobile.

The above picture is 108 Shiv temple constructed in burdwan.

Above photo shows the date of construction and name of person who took the authority of constructing it.

Above picture shows the row of shiv temple which are 108 in number.

The picture is the photo of Curzon gate.

Above photo is of Sarbamangala temple.

This is photo of devi who is worshipped inside a Sarbamangala temple.

The above photo is the place which contain the tomb of two people- afghan khan and Qutubdin koka. It also contain the mazar of Sufi saint whose name is Pir Baharam. Below are pictures of mazar and tomb.

This city is well connected through road and railways. There is no problem of transporation as small auto rickshaw known as “toto ” is readily available. I really enjoyed the place and moreover winter are not cold as in other parts of northern india.

Hope you enjoyed this article. I will come with more such article in future. Till then keep writing and all the best to all of you.
