Universe, made of light
And competing darkness
Is in search of us
Insulated on islands
Invisible to the current
Flowing under our breath
We’re bubbles waiting
We won’t disappear
Whether enclosed or free
We’re in the universe
Hiding behind choice
It becomes a mystery
The universe all around
We choose the dark
Disappearing from sight
Taking flight in the mind
As freedom retreats
We search the faint lights
For the distant universe
