Visarjan: The Act Of Immersion

“Ganpati Bappa Morya, Phudhchyavarshi Lavkar Yaaa!!” has been doing its patrolling in my mind,

I wonder if Immersion (Visarjan) is really the act of letting go?
I saw so many statuses,
So many opinions,
And I simply wondered,
I called out within and I asked,
No answer came,
I kept Knocking, trying to understand it from an inner point of view,
A while went by,
And an opinion decorated with my experiences,
A few stories I have read,
Brushed itself on the canvas of my mind,

Something within throbbed and said,
It isn’t always about the act of Immersion in the ocean outside,
The Mind is an Ocean,
Whenever you sing his glories, his aarti, his mantras,
You create ripples in the ocean of your mind,
When you constantly be in his presence,
The impression of his very being imprints itself on the current of your consciousness,
After all the rituals which may seem external to you all,
Are but reflections of the esoteric knowledge of certain experiences,
You think that Bappa is out there in an idol,
Yes agreed, the praan pratishtha is done in that idol,
But the Act of Immersion that is Visarjan is the greatest one,
For this is the ritualistic form which is trying to explain the highest state of dissolution,
For every great devotee, the desire was to be one with their deity,
The act of Immersion that is Visarjan,
Is all about Immersing Lord Ganesha in the Ocean of your mind,
Asking and requesting him to sit in the core of your heart,
And to pray to him to throb and pump his essence through your very being,
To guide you and help you learn your lessons,
To help you feel gratitude,
To help you overcome your innate limitations,
When one surrenders with love and faith,
A state comes where individuality that is the ego,
Collapses on itself and opens up to beyond,

The act of Immersion is all about understanding that he is not limited only to form,
He is greater than form,
His form is cute, beautiful and attractive,
But he is beyond form,
All the devotion that throbs in your heart,
Immersion (Visarjan) is the ultimate realization that he is now rooted in your heart,
Simply dissolve your doubts, your hedonistic mind,
Realize that he is the one who has moved
From Saguna to Nirguna, (from form to the formless)
That is the significance of Immersion!!

Allow him to color the ocean of your mind with his innocence,
His playfulness, his sweetness,
And let him guide you through intelligence over all your obstacles!!

May The Grace and Blessings Of Lord Ganesha Enlighten All Your hearts!!!!!
