Recently I read a quote on LinkedIn- We are NOT in the same boat, but we ARE in the same storm”.

I have been staying at the Ashram for 6 months give or take and realise how true this is for all different types of people who stay here or come as visitors. Some people have a yacht – you know one of those 50 foot luxury ones :), some have an entire ship, some have a motorboat and some have a rowboat which is a LOT of work. And then there are a few luckier ones who know the Ocean Master Himself whereas some who are in the water with not even a life preserve and are just drowning. Please don’t get me wrong, by no means the ones with the ship or ones drowning, haven’t earned it or don’t deserve it(not that the likes of me know who deserves what, Hah!, only He does) but just such stark differences in a group of people with such strong similar focus, took me by surprise.

Now if we all here are so different then what is the similarity?

Well ! I think we are all beggars! Every single one of us. A ‘beggar collective’ if you will or better yet an ‘Amazon’ of beggars- any kind of begging you can think of, you can find it here in the Ashram. Some are begging for self realisation, some for sakshat darshan, some for spending time with Him, while some are content with just one glimpse (huh! That rhymed!).

So overall – what a roller coaster these months have been 😊
