Narayani Namostute 🌼

Can you describe the behaviour of a jeevan mukta (liberated soul)?

Here is Shabad, don’t know if it’s written by Guru Nanak Dev Ji himself or by Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji. I guess it was written by Guru Nanak Dev Ji because just like a beautiful poet he added his name at the end. This Shabad explains everything. Who is Jeevan mukta and how to be a jeevan mukta.

Translation:

A person who does not wallow in sorrow and does give undue importance to sorrow. Who is not craving for happiness, and is not afraid; who knows there is no difference between gold and sand particles?

Who is not influenced by criticism or praise; who is free of greed, attachment and an egocentric approach to life. Who is not disturbed by joy and sorrow, respect and insult.

Since he has no craving for the fulfilment of desires, he wants nothing from the world and its people. Who does not have even a spec of craving and anger, in such a person the divine consciousness of Brahm is evident and manifest.

By the grace of a Sadguru, a person discovers the technique to do so. Guru Nanak has dissolved in Govind (God) just as the water mixes with water. He has become one with Govind.
