What are we supposed to be?

Bulbs or electricity……

On many auspicious occasions like Dipawali,  Ganesh festival,  Christmas,  or any ceremonial events like marriages, anniversaries, etc decoration of houses, temples, celebration halls with beautiful, bright and colorful light series is common.

The bulbs in those series come in different amazing shapes, sizes and colors. When series is on, we are delighted by their blinking off and on, in a particular pattern and design. People choose different patterns and colors as per their mind sets, likings and dislikings.

Have you observed the series of those bulbs of different shapes,  sizes and colors closely?

Small blue bulb emitting a blue light and green bulb is emitting green light.

Why a blue bulb is made blue and green as a green? Why do some bulbs are made tiny and some are made big?

There is a particular purpose behind all these happenings/ makings.

Everything is made or prepared for a particular purpose/ use. Variety of things are made because everyone is unique and have their preferences.

Now what is the common factor in  all these series irrespective of their shapes, sizes and colors?

The electricity.

Had there been no electricity, series would have not emitted different coloured lights and the purpose for which those are made would not be solved.

Electricity as such cannot emit the light of different colors and brightness.  It needs a medium to express. It is the shape, size, colour and filament of a bulb that acts as a medium for electricity to express . Electricity is one and the same but different expressions are because of the different bulbs.

Play of different colors is happening…..through the bulbs. One and the same electricity is functioning in all the bulbs.

In our life, play of emotions is happening…through us as if the bulbs.
Expressions of love, hate, anger, jealousy,  compassion,  sympathy,  empathy etc going on continuously as per our own making/ tendencies.

People with  good tendencies are called good and those with bad tendencies are called bad, just like the bulb emitting blue light is called a blue bulb.

Pure Consciousness/Non dual Self/Enlivening principle is functioning through all the beings of different shapes, sizes and colors.  These varieties (colours) are made out of three gunas ( satva/rajas/ tamas) and that too as per our own order ( previous karma/ the desires). The specific quality/ tendency / color imparted to us is to solve the respective purposes in our current life. We seem to be acting and reacting as per our own make up. That means;

If you are destined to be a small blue bulb, you will be a small blue bulb and not the big one and you will emit only blue light and not the red. This is the reason why everyone is unique and behaves in a particular pattern. 

There is a proverb in marathi-  जित्याची खोड मेल्याशिवाय जात नाही. ( Ones you are born with a particular tendency,  it will not go till you die. ” Until and unless you die, it will not go “.)

These tendencies make someone a doctor, someone a teacher or a home maker and so on.  The qualities like dull, sharp, clever, quiet, introvert, extrovert etc with which one is born will remain unchanged. Because all these make up is to carry out different tasks destined in one’s life as per one’s own previous karmas/ orders.

Pure Consciousness is enlivening, in fact animating us all;  the different types of robots.

Just like the blue bulb is emitting the blue light, which it is supposed to do, We must do whatever we are supposed to do, without  lamenting over or boast upon our looks, health,aptitudes, possessions,  post, talents etc.
Our body mind complex is unique make up through which the Consciousness is functioning to get expressed,  to get the destined events happen. 

Director plans to make a movie. Writer gives him a beautiful story. The dialogues are written.  Then comes the important part of giving roles of main characters- hero, heroine, villain, friends, parents, etc. to different artists to play.

The director doesnt give the roles randomly. He studies the previous records, the looks, aptitudes, nature, etc of the actors and  then assigns them in a particular role that suits them.

The assigned actors follow the instructions of the director. Every action and dialogue is known to them and they act accordingly without adding anything of their own.  They act and speak in the events of all the emotions like love, lust, anger, hate, pride, sympathy, empathy, etc. exactly as per the instructions.

What is destined to happen ( determined by the director), happens…all the happenings happen through the actors.

We are also the actors of our life drama. Only difference is unlike the actors, we are not aware of the future events or happenings in our life, neither anybody instructs us about our actions nor gives the dialogues to utter in our life play.

The main reason, the actors don’t get affected by the dualities in their play is- Every action and every word they utter are surrendered to the director. They are aware of the fact that play is carried out through them by the director. So they are at peace internally in every happening in the play although they may seem to be involved in it.

How can we be at peace in every happening in our life?

# Believing that everything destined to happen will happen in my life. I don’t know the future happenings in my life but I have to accept them as they will happen.
# All the happenings in the past whether good or bad were had to happen and that’s why happened. My role playing is decided as per my previous (life) biodata- The roles I am now playing is asigned to me as per my  own karmas. May i like or not, i have to play it. I cannot exchange it with others. My parents, environment, profession, prosperity, relationships, diseases,type and time of death, etc everything has been printed on my life script.

People may ask that if everything is destined, then why do we all study, work and earn? When it is for sure that I will get what I am destined to get, why should I waste time in doing all?

Yes.. if you are destined to get nothing, you will not work, even if you wish or even the circumstances are favorable to work. And if you are destined to get something, you will work even in the unfavorable conditions. Everything will be arranged by nature( divine law) to get or not to get for you.

Movie director knows the ending. To reach that ending he arranges all the people and circumstances in between. To show the event of the breakup, he has to arrange two lovers in the scene and then a scene of fight or a quarrel or misunderstanding between them. Everything has been for a reason.

In covid period,
one covid positive person came in the state  and spread the infection and among so many infected persons few died. Common expression is- that one  person was responsible for all the situations. This is not the way we analyse any situation. This person was just a nimitta Karan/निमीत्त कारण for the death of another few ones.  For events to happen, different types of instruments are required. All Our different make up is used as different types of instruments to make the happenings happen. So, as the few deaths had to happen, that particular person was made a nimitta Karan for it, and that too because he was destined for that.
Every happening is being arranged in a great manner by the divine without a trace of unjust to anyone.
The person destined to get beaten( by his karma), get beaten for sure. The person chosen for this particular task or happening are also determined as per their karmic account.

One man stumbles upon a stone on the road. That stone is the nimitta Karan but as that man’s stumbling has to happen,  stone was arranged by the natural force/divine law. Both happenings happened through stone and the man.

This  natural force is the ultimate power/the divine/ the source which is functioning through all of us to make everything happen. This source is the deciding factor of all the happenings in the universe. We can name it the God/Impersonal God. This is how we can  say that everything is happening as per His/God’s will.( As He is enlivening all the happenings good or bad that means  giving the fruits/results (sweet or sour) of our own karma). Ultimately you will notice that His will is my will only.

Once we are convinced with these facts, we will accept everything as it is or as God’s will. We will act as a mediator and see other person also as mediator. The  blame game or complaint game will be deleted from our life.
We don’t curse a telephone box if some one utters bad words for us through it, neither we appreciate for good words uttered for us through it.
We are getting love or hate through the people in our life. They are there just as mediators to give love or hate whichever you are destined to get as per your Prarabhda.  They are not at fault.

So while living in this world, accept whatever comes to you as it is. If there are choices,  select as per your own understanding with faith in  God and accept the results of your choice without regrets, considering that selecting or choosing also happened as it had to happen.

So now onwards, if your husband/ wife forgets to bring apples, you wanted to eat, don’t blame or argue.  Accept that as you are not destined to eat apples today, he/she has forgotten to bring them. It was arranged by the force of nature / God.
If you are a blue bulb, let blue light emit through you. Don’t lament over bluness, have self respect. If you think that you would have been better if you would be red bulb, you will lose the peace. But you will be red bulb in your next birth for sure. How long will you be coming again and again as the bulbs? You have to be the electricity….it’s your real goal and the only way to it is,  to work with non doership like the bulbs….the actors….
