They say one can only take darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi when she desires it. If if I had known earlier that there was a trek of thirteen kilometres uphill before we get her darshan I would have straight away denied the offer but I didn’t.

My friend called me and made the offer to instantly get on a bus and reach for Vaishno Devi and I accepted it. I straight away packed up my bag and left.

I had no knowledge of Vaishno Devi temple. When I reached and we were standing near the entry, only then I realized that we have to trek. We trekked for a few hours before we reached the top and had Her darshan.

Then we trekked another three kilometres for the Bhairava temple and had His darshan too. The whole process of going up, having darshan and coming back down took us eighteen hours. We had very little rest in between but it was an amazing experience.
