Why Do We Light Lamp..

How often we think the reason behind doing any spiritual act. Ever wondered why we light lamp. Since childhood we have seen mother lightening lamp in front of deity in temple in home. Before doing anything we always light lamp. And also we celebrate, light hundreds of lamp and candles. Lightening of lamp is considered the auspicious act in our Hindu Dharma. We light lamp in every household in morning and evening.

The reason is that we conduct all the spiritual ritual in presence of God of fire. He is also one the element of our body. Since body is made up of five elements and it is one of them. Lightening of lamp brings positivity in family and it burn away negativity in the home. And the lightening of lamp has divine meaning behind it is that by lightening lamp we are brightening our path in life be it spirit material. This makes our journey clear and free from negativity.

Further, it is believed that whatever work is done after offering lamp and in presence of God of fire will certainly be blessed with success. Lightening lamp also brings joy and happiness in family and life.

And by lightening lamp on occasion also harbinger of happiness. We celebrate win of Lord Ram over Ravana. Meaning it is victory over negativity. Also we celebrate the arrival of Bhagwan at Ayodha back and all are happy and joyous to see their beloved God back home.

Therefore, we may light lamps in our heart to always work towards goodness and spread love and happiness. Also, we may light lamp everyday to bring sunshine to our path.
