Will you be mine, my dear?

We have known each other for so long. I have been aware of your existence ever since I have started thinking.

We have been each other’s constant company. Sometimes, we have been on good terms, helping each other. Sometimes, we have had terrible fights when you completely refused to listen to me, and almost always I have let you have your way.

At times, you have hurt me terribly, torturing me, making me feel worthless, by rewinding again and again and reminding me of my shortcomings. At other times, you have made me feel so good, as if I am the most wonderful creation of God, walking this earth.

Almost always, I have let you have the upper hand, dancing to your whims and fancies. But don’t you think that once in a while I too deserve to be listened to?

We could make a great pair, you and I. I promise I will always give you a chance to voice your concerns. But please don’t keep on repeating them endlessly, because it becomes very disturbing for me. And please give me my fair chance too. 

There is no problem we couldn’t solve. Trust me. Please don’t think too much about it. Just say yes, and be mine, my dear mind… Together, we will make this journey of life. ❤️❤️
