मेरी तनहाई में तू है
मेरी रुसवाई में भी तू है
क्या कहूं कहां नहीं है तू
मेरी तो रूबाई में भी तू है

(It’s you, who is in my loneliness. It’s you who’s is in my anger. Where you are not present? It’s you who’s in my poem.)

मेरी आंखों में तेरा चेहरा है
मेरी सांसों में तेरा बसेरा है
क्या कहूं कहां नहीं है तू
मेरे कदमों पे भी तेरा पहरा है

(Your image is in my eyes. It’s you, who’s living in my breath. Where you are not present? You always keep a protective eye on my each step.)

जब भी तकलीफ में रोया हूं
जिंदगी की राहों में खोया हूं
कुछ और तो नहीं मालूम
तेरे कदमों में सर झुकाया हूं

(Whenever I cried in sorrow, whenever I found myself lost in this journey. I don’t remember anything else but I remember I always bowed down in your feet.)

जो गलत राह पे चल जाऊं
तेरी बंदगी से भी भटक जाऊं
तू न भूलना कभी मुझको
मैं अगर भूल से भी भूल जाऊं

(If I start walking on wrong path, if I forget to take your name Lord. Please don’t forget me even if I forget you by mistake.)

माना मेरा प्यार नहीं सच्चा
मेरा विश्वास भी है कच्चा
तू है सबका पिता मालिक
तेरा मेरा रिश्ता ये है सच्चा

(I know my love to you is not true, my faith in you is not strong but all I know is that you are the father of this universe and that relationship of mine with you is true always.)

जो लिखा लिख दिया मैंने
अपना दिल खोल दिया मैंने
ग़ज़ल भी हो गई और
तेरा नाम भी ले दिया मैंने

(Whatever I penned down, I opened my heart. My poem is done too and in my poem I worshipped you.)
