Scene 1

“Yaawnnn”
Let’s check if there is any new video 😉 or cracking jokes in any WA group. Hmm, not really, let me check the gallery, I had saved a lot of videos.

Meet the evolving human with mobile and an abundance of data in hand. Just like Spiderman’s uncle said once that with power comes responsibility, it is true that with a huge amount of data, comes responsibility as well. What you do with it, shapes YOU.

How many of you can give your mobile to your growing kids and go to bed?

There was a time when I could not even think of the scenario, with the type of media in the gallery. And the lust to save all. Keep it all with me.

Cut to Scene 2

In my search for more on our beloved Om Swamiji, after I finished reading If Truth Be Told, I landed on the app called Sadhana.

At the first glance, I was impressed with the visual design of the interface on Google Play. Installed. Open. The visuals just started appearing screen by screen and the way every interaction was bound with mantras, and Swamiji’s own tenor voice, the app almost became the place to visit. A temple on my palm.

Scene 3

All of a sudden there was a change in the way I started taking care of types of media coming into my mobile.

Hey, after all, it is a temple on my palm. And we take utmost care of how we behave, say, and watch in the temple.

Also, just like we do not use the index finger while using the mala while doing your Japa. I found myself using the ring finger to launch the Sadhana app and for all the interactions inside the app (aka temple).

Concluding Scene

Today, my mobile has changed just like Me. Spiritually.

  • It holds spiritual content like my mind does.
  • It has removed all the negative content, just like I did the cleansing from my mind.
  • It has wallpaper of Ma Lakshmi and Vasudev, just like my mind has Ma all the time.
  • It chants continuously like my mind does the round of Japas when idle.
  • I stopped taking my mobile in the washrooms. It is difficult to manage when I am outside, but I ensure its sanity.
  • I can easily give my unlocked mobile to my daughter and son and go to bed.
  • Closed all the doors (WhatsApp groups) of negative content. Just like I conditioned my mind to not follow negative spikes.
  • A clean home screen (all the apps on the next screen) ensures that I start my day by seeing Ma as soon as I wake up.
  • My search history has changed for good. (Seriously, ask Google lol)
  • My Youtube feeds are full of life and not shots of dopamine.

All in all, always remember, your mobile is your mind’s reflection. Make it healthy, transparent, and vibrant. Thanks to the UX of Sadhana app. It has touched, moved, and inspired me and others to walk the path of spirituality.
