What a dream!
What wishful thinking
Wishing to touch your holy feet
To bask in your presence
And breathe at the same time!
What a dream!
To ever have your sidelong glance
Aching to hear your voice
To dance in your company
And breathe at the same time!
What a dream!
To renounce all fascinations
And hold You, only You in my sight
Longing to dissolve all pretence
To merge with You, Oh Divine
And breathe at the same time!
My Lord!
If you so please,
Torture me beyond pleasure!
If you wish to keep me waiting
And breathing at the same time!
Who am I
To ask You,
To plead mercy!
You have made me aware
That I need You more than my own breath
Shouldn’t I be content with that knowledge!
Who am I
To command You, to call me home!
Will I ever really inhale Your fragrance?
If you wish to keep me gasping for breath,
So be it!
