Here is another video discourse for you. Below is a transcript of the first few lines.
What is Happiness?
Everybody is busy. Almost everybody. Some are busy at home, some are busy at work, some are busy doing nothing. Some are busy because they are doing everything. But why are people busy? Generally, because they want to attain something. The majority don’t know that though. They are simply running.
What is happiness to you – Food for thought.
People feel that their basic necessities in life prompt them to work the way they do. But is it really the reason? They have not sat down and done any thinking – could that be the reason?
Or, they have sat down and done too much thinking? If you really read between the lines, you will find that most people are working because they want to be happy. Happiness. That is going to be my topic today. What is happiness? Is it a goal? An achievement? A journey? Or is happiness a feeling? Is there a shortcut to happiness?

Peace.

The FAQs below offer clarity and techniques for a happier life. You’ll never be left asking again — What is happiness?
What are some practical ways to be happy in life?
In all human endeavors, in everything that we do, often our real goal is to eventually experience happiness. The age-old human question, “What is happiness?” lives in all of us.
Happiness is a skill. It is something one has to acquire and cultivate. If you put in the hard work, you will see the results. So, while there’s no secret to happiness, there are some guidelines. Here’s my two cents’ worth; the five principles of happiness.
If there’s just one thing I ought to know about happiness, what is it?
Find out what matters to you and give your everything to it. Your life will never be the same again. This is the calling of happiness. If you’ve been asking yourself, “What is happiness?” – this is your answer.
And the most beautiful thing about surrendering to your calling is that every subsequent step you take on the path is deeply fulfilling. The joy of the journey becomes as exhilarating as reaching the destination.
Click here to read one of the sanest and most lyrical definitions of happiness I’ve read in a long time. There’s also a prayer that is the essence of happiness.
How can I have an attitude of happiness even when things are going wrong?
I think the root cause of sadness is our expectation that most of what we do should result in joy to us. We tend to look at others and feel they are happy because of ‘what’ they have in their lives. The truth is ‘what’ has never brought everlasting happiness in anyone’s life. It’s ‘who’ you are and ‘how’ you live that determines your happiness.
And what is happiness? Happiness is your personal state, a private matter (though the more you spread it, the more you get to keep). Read more here on how other people’s happiness just may come from itchy bums!
A GOOD STORY
